Just throw ingredients together in the morning, and you’ll have this delicious, tender crockpot barbecue pulled pork at the end of the day!
I don’t know why I don’t use my crockpot more often… it’s a life saver! All I have to do is wake up a few minutes earlier to get all my ingredients ready, then I have a meal when I get home for work. This leaves more time for an evening run, weeding the garden, or whatever that evening brings. On top of that, the crockpot makes it so much easier to cook in the summer without the house getting even hotter from the oven.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m OBSESSED with this barbecue pulled pork. There really isn’t much “pulling” involved, because it’s so tender than it just falls apart when it’s done.
Have you ever read the back of a bottle of barbecue sauce? I just pulled a bottle out of the fridge to check it out and the first ingredient listed? High fructose corn syrup. Yuck, no thank you. Just two tablespoons contain 15 grams of sugar! Craziness.
The good news is, though, you can make your own! That’s exactly what this pulled pork calls for. With just a few simple ingredients (tomato sauce, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, spices), you can say goodbye to corn syrup and refined sugar filled sauce, and hello to natural deliciousness!
While I don’t mind just eating this pulled pork out of a bowl with a fork, there are so many different options to use it! Sandwiches, tacos, salads, and more. Get as creative as you’d like as you enjoy this juicy, tender crockpot barbecue pulled pork!
