This lemon garlic parmesan tilapia is a simple, yet flavorful addition to your weekly meals!
When trying to decide what to have for dinner, tilapia is one of the meals I often choose. It’s so easy to prepare and I just love fish in general! One of my favorite ways to make tilapia with some lemon juice, garlic and parmesan cheese.
Zack (my boyfriend) lives on a farm where they raise beef cows, so I expected him to only ever want ground beef, roast, steaks and maybe some chicken or ham every once in a while. When I introduced him to ground turkey and bacon and different types of fish, he absolutely LOVED them. He actually requests them over beef most of the time, which makes me super happy!
I’ve fixed tilapia a few different ways, but this way always seems to be the best! As I said, it’s super easy to make, tastes delicious and is healthy for you too. I prefer baking the fish, but in the summer I sometimes like to stick it on the grill instead.
This recipe calls for six fillets of tilapia, because that’s what I typically make for Zack and myself, but you’ll want to prepare more depending on how many people you’re feeding. It also depends on the size of your fillets—typically I eat two small or medium pieces or one large piece.
While I would love to buy fresh fish all the time, that’s not realistic for the area I live in as well as my budget, so frozen fish is what I usually get. I grab a big bag of it almost every time I’m at Aldi and that way I always have some in my freezer and don’t have to worry about using it right way.
So if you’ve never cooked with tilapia, don’t be afraid! This recipe is easy and I know you’ll love it!
